Yes, you have to discard three random cards at your next upkeep, but in an ideal world, the three cards you draw can all be used before your next upkeep, leaving you with just lands or an empty hand to discard.

Collectors dont chase it like they would rare Pokmon cards, but multiple prints (with different Professors on the artwork) make it a fun card to track across expansions
